Contracted EEG Technologists

Hours: 8 hours per shift (16 hours minimum each week)

NWC has several opportunities for Neurodiagnostic technologists who have experience with continuous monitoring and can detect EEG abnormalities, notifying physicians and nursing staff of possible events for immediate care of the patient to improve outcomes. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable and experienced professional who has a passion for the work that we do and can independently monitor various patient populations with ability to troubleshoot and work with different vendor computer systems.

Job Essentials:
•  Monitor patients receiving long-term EEG video monitoring while an inpatient at remote facilities in ICU and additional neuro and trauma units.
•  Experience monitoring Adults, Pediatrics and Neonates
•  Maintains patient Daily Summary Report from onset of monitoring to disconnect.
•  Identify changes in EEG patterns, can recognize events and take appropriate action, notifying nursing and medical staff of witnessed or reported events.
•  Follows protocols and documents clinical activity of the patient during events.
•  Knowledge of daily report notification to reading neurologist and facility.
•  Maintains a good rapport with staff and physicians.
•  Demonstrates competency and troubleshooting in operating EEG equipment
•  Able to work various shifts, including weekend day and evening shifts.
•  Able to perform post review, mark clips and pruning responsibilities

Qualifications:
•  ABRET certification in Electroencephalopathy, REEGT and CLTM preferred, or working towards certification.
•  Minimum 3 years EEG experience with excellent pattern recognition skills.
•  Experience in EMU monitoring services, is preferred.
•  Ability to work with various vendor computer systems. Xltek, Cadwell, Nihon Kohden
•  Monitoring occurs in a private area. Must be HIPAA Compliant, free from distractions with ability to focus on patient care in home environment.
•  Must have reliable computer, cell phone and internet service
•  Able to maintain your home computer with updated virus protection and Microsoft tools
